PLOT: How Presidency Will Remove New Emir And Governor Of Kano

Goodluck Jonathan
President Goodluck Jonathan

Presidency is said to be plotting to dethrone Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, days ago appointed the new Emir of Kano. According to the fresh report by The
Paradigm, the plot also spreads to the state governor Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, who picked the new Emir. The governor yesterday even accused Jonathan of endangering his life.
The information about the alleged plan to remove Sanusi seem to be closely connected with the rumours about the possible arrest of the new Emir.
The report indicates that the plot will be made possible by causing unrest until it becomes necessary to introduce the state of emergency. Following this, the military administrator will remove Kwankwaso and subsequently Sanusi will be deposed.
Meanwhile the controversies keep tracking this story, especially in connection with the riots having started soon after the appointment.
It would be recalled that before the official announcement, the presidency was alleged to have made moves to frustrate Sanusi from emerging the new Emir by sending a congratulatory message from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to one of the candidates. Many believed this caused the unrest in Kano, and the All Progressives Congress (APC) even called for the prosecution of the PDP Publicity Secretary Olisa Metuh over destabilizing the situation.
Referring to the source close to the state governor, The Paradigm claimed that the rumour about Mr. Sanusi’s ostensibly removal by Jonathan was actually orchestrated by the presidency to cause more tension in Kano.
The source was quoted saying: "This whole rumor was calculated to cause a new set of rioting in Kano."
