Tickets for 60 of the 64 matches at the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil this June and July will be up for sale to the general public on Wednesday, 12th of March, 2014. The sale will be in the second window of the second sales phase which starts on Wednesday, March 12 at 1200 hours CET and 0800 hours Brazilian time.
According to a statement by FIFA Media on Tuesday, no tickets are however available for the Opening Match of June 12 in Sao Paulo.

The same applies to
the Final of July 13 in Rio de Janeiro, in addition to the two semi-finals in Belo Horizonte and Sao Paulo.  The statement said the tickets would be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis, while the sales period was scheduled to continue until April 1.
It said demand was expected to be very high for most of the matches.

“Fans can see the respective availability (low-medium-high) per match in the respective chart on www.FIFA.com/tickets which will be updated constantly once sales start,’’ the statement said.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that around 345,000 tickets will be available for sale during this period in question.

The number is higher than the 160,000 originally announced due to tickets returned by sponsors and the hospitality programme, as well as unpaid tickets from the previous sales phase. “Starting on Wednesday, Brazilian and international fans once again have the chance to guarantee their seats in the event, which will certainly be one of the most amazing moments in sporting history. “Fans from 212 countries and territories have already secured their tickets,” said Thierry Weil, FIFA Marketing Director in charge of ticketing.

“I´m sure they’ll enjoy the unique atmosphere in the country of football!’’  NAN reports that all spectators, including children of all ages, require a ticket to access the stadium
