Can you imagine an American president visiting one of the Nigerian internet cafes? No? The Chinese people can!
President Barack Obama appears to be a regular customer of a Chinese internet cafe.
His "identity card" has a full-face picture of him, lists his correct birthday and gives his address as "White House, 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue, Washington DC," while stating his ethnicity as "Kenyan."
Beijing requires internet cafes to register users' identity before letting them go online, following the governmental politics of web control.
So the ingenious owner of the cafe in Jinan, Shandong province, created the
card by printing out Obama's personal details and sticking them on to the front of a genuine ID lost by its holder in 2010.
The manager then gave the card to his teenage customers, giving them easy access to the internet.
During a routine inspection the police were "spooked" when they saw the card, but then the cunning was discovered and the card has been returned to its legitimate holder - a man named Wang, who lives in Jinan and not in the US.
