What You Need To Know About Afrocandy

Who Is This Woman Called Afrocandy?

Not exactly sure why she is in the news – and quite traumatized by all that pornography talk, we have kept a safe distance from this story, but then everybody seems to be talking about Judith Mazagwu, the sensation called Afrocandy. She recently made news and got blogs running into overdrive after she released a very racy trailer for her movie, Destructive Instinct 3 & 4.
So, we have dug deep and spent painful hours trying to figure out Nigeria’s latest tabloid sensation. Thank us later.
In introducing her a few weeks ago, the famous blogger, Linda Ikeji said: “Normally I would say soft porn…but there’s nothing soft about this one. Lol. Afrocandy and her team went in! I watched the movie trailer with my mouth open. Who the heck is this woman? The ashewo movie contains a lot of sex scenes, bare asses and boobies. This is by far the worst I’ve seen. Produced by Afrocandy and starring Afrocandy.”
Afrocandy describes herself as a Nigerian actress/artist/song & script writer, producer and singer (incorporated, international, unlimited, consortium). Her ex-husband describes her as a cheat, liar and bad mother to her two teenage daughters, fans describe her as

Nollywood Actress, Ini Edo To Be Thrown Out By Husband?

When sultry Nollywood actress, Ini Edo's husband traveled out months back and left her behind in Nigeria to "do her thing" many didn't suspect anything was wrong as it is not unusual for a husband to leave his wife behind to attend to some business issues and return home.

photoBut days turned into weeks, her husband didn't return; weeks have turned into months now and it's obvious Ini Edo can no longer hide her pains again....

A source said that she has been complaining secretly to a few friends about her husband's fight with her. She has done all she could to make him "forgive me even if I'm wrong" but it seems her efforts are not really working as she had expected. And it's getting bad.

Another source disclosed that the major issue is Ini Edo's inability to get pregnant and give her husband a child after three years of marriage. It is said that the man was advised against marrying her due to her "past" but he ignored the warning all because he wanted to marry a celebrity.

Anyway, the home front is no longer at peace and the man is not even coming home to touch his wife so they could try harder maybe the pregnancy would come.

Some say he may be planning to send her out... But is that the best solution?

TOTAL WAR

Where is the report of the panel that probed the 2009 insurgency in Bauchi, Yobe and Maiduguri? Also, where is former President Olusegun Obasanjo’s report on how to end the Boko Haram menace in Borno? What about the most recent one submitted by Ambassador Usman Gaji Galtimari, who chaired the Presidential committee on insecurity in the North-East? Have the recent emergency rule slammed on Borno, Yobe and Adamawa states was capable of resolving the Boko Haram crisis?

The source exclusively said that unless and until some of these reports are looked into with “all sincerity” by the government, the soldiers currently deployed to the troubled spots would only succeed in “killing some innocent Nigerians, including a few of the insurgents”, adding that the aftermath would be counter-productive.

According to the source, the “real combatants would go into hiding, striking once in a while. But once the emergency rule is over, they will come out again in full force. Mark my words, that will be disastrous,” the source added with a tone of finality.

Asked what should be the way out, the security operative said:

Why Obasanjo And Nigerians Supported Mugabe

Former Nigerian President Olusegun Obasanjo supported President Robert Mugabe during the early years of the Zimbabwe crisis because he believed that he owed a debt to Mugabe. A cable released by the United States embassy in Abuja said Obasanjo and Mugabe had been friends for 25 years and had developed a deep person bond.
Why Obasanjo and Nigerians Supported Mugabe
But more importantly, Obasanjo was Head of State during the Lancaster House negotiation and had repeatedly stated that he pressured Mugabe to accept a constitution that would hold land reform in abeyance even though Mugabe wanted to forge ahead immediately on the issue.
In the late eighties and early nineties, Obasanjo also counselled Mugabe to bridle his drive for land reform so that events in Zimbabwe would not scare apartheid supporters and thus throttle reform in South Africa.

Lampard told TalkSPORT: "It's a presence and an aura and a way with people.
"He galvanises people. His own self-confidence reflects back on his teams. He did that to me personally.

OPINION: Nigerians Ask, 'Are We At War?'

The corpse of another man's mother always looks like firewood from afar, so says an African proverb. Until recently, terrorism, war and the accompanying human carnage in far-away countries like Iraq, Afghanistan, Syria and many other troubled countries meant just more news of the crazy world out there. Not because of my lack of empathy, but distance can be a ready-made palliative for pain.
OPINION: Nigerians Ask, 'Are We at War?'
Now, that distant and macabre dance of death that once seemed so far away on TV has come upon my country, Nigeria, with a big bang.
Suicide bombing, towns and villages getting blown up, allegations of extra-judicial killings by the police and the military, kidnappings, terrorist attacks on government establishments -- total confusion and a lack of solutions to the violence is no longer just news, but a terrifying daily reality show.
In the current wave of violence, especially

She is a popular hostess on a cable network, hosting a musical show who always holds her audience spellbound by her delivery. Not too tall, very shapely with big eye balls, she looks like an angel, but with the tinge of a she-devil hidden under the facade, she sounds like 'champagne', we are not talking 'Brut or Rose' here and seems connected to the family of a former ruler, at least by her second name.

INSECURITY: If We Don't Desist, It Will Consume Us - Gowon

Elder statesman, General Yakubu Gowon, former Head of State who spoke with Saturday Vanguard, lamented that the country is degenerating to a level where lives have been devalued and unless we desist from perpetrating evil, the country might not be saved.
Insecurity: IF We Don’t Desist, It Will Consume Us – GowonYakubu Gowon According to him, “It is unfortunate that insecurity has become a norm in the country. I do not know why Nigerians do not value the lives of other Nigerians. Life in this country is valueless and I do not know why this is happening.
“We have lost our religious beliefs, both Christian and Muslim. I cannot honestly understand why this is happening to a country like Nigeria. But, I will continue to pray and advise every concerned individual to value the life of every Nigerian in the country.
“If we do not value one another, then we will destroy ourselves and we will be out of reckoning in this world. I am sad about what is happening and I am praying to God that all those perpetrators of evil will desist from doing so, otherwise, it will consume all of us.
“It is as if our security forces cannot deal with them but it is the people themselves that are ensuring that the country continue to face the toughest challenge of its life regarding insecurity. If everyone desists from evil, I believe we will all rejoice at the end”.

What were your early days like?
Both my parents are British; my mother was actually born there. I was born and raised in London. Growing up was fun for me. I am an only child, so it was relatively quiet. It was not really boring for me because I have a lot of cousins, they are more than 20. I cannot even count. I always found myself hanging out with them because a lot of them live in London and in America, so there is always something to do.
Why did you decide to come to Nigeria?
I came to Nigeria because I love acting and the country has a thriving industry, Nollywood. It provides me with the opportunity to act as often as possible. That is the main reason.

Insecurity: Finally Jonathan Gets Tough On The North

Finally, President Goodluck Jonathan vindicated the rumor mills last Tuesday evening when he slammed State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States. STANLEY NKWOCHA writes on the events that culminated into Jonathan’s action
Sunday evening and the rumor mills had gone agog with tales of impending State of Emergency to be ordered in some troubled states in the country, especially in the Northern part.
Convoys of armored tankers, reports said, had started being moved to the cities - an indication that perhaps decision on the -to be presidential order had already been taken.
The marathon meeting the President had been having with his security chiefs since returning from South Africa and cutting off his planned trip to Namibia, suggested that something serious was in the offing. The virtual unabated series of meeting thereafter with the governors of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States, suggested that indeed push had come to shove.

Right now I am in talks with a reputable artiste management outfit to represent me and re-invent myself. Uche Ogbodo.

POLITICS: Confusion As Nigerian Senate Says President Has Not Declared Any State Of Emergency

The mandatory two days required for the National Assembly to approve the emergency rule in Borno, Adamawa and Yobe states elapsed on Thursday without a formal notification from President Goodluck Jonathan to federal lawmakers, leaving a web of confusion whether or not, a vital constitutional requirement was breached.
Lawmakers and lawyers shelved an overwhelming euphoria that have trailed the emergency rule, to accuse the President of violating basic requirements in imposing emergency order, pointing out what may turn out tools for potential challengers of the order.
“I’m not contented with the whole arrangement because of the way he declared it and did not follow due process. He was expected to

Bitrus Kaze (PDP, Jos South/East) said President Jonathan must be commended for taking the decision and sustaining democratic structures in the affected areas. He also urged the President to go ahead and disband the recently constituted Kabiru Turaki-led committee on

Bola Tinubu Says State Emergency Merely A Ruse For 2015

Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, chairman of the Action Congress of Nigeria (ACN), on Wednesday described the declaration of a State of Emergency in Borno, Yobe and Adamawa States by President Goodluck Jonathan as a dangerous trend in the art of governance and a deliberate ploy to subvert constitutional democracy.

“It is now abundantly clear that President Jonathan has finally bared his fangs confirming what was widely speculated,” he said in a press statement, stressing that by the action, Mr. Jonathan has intimidated and emasculated the governors of these States.
Tinubu said that keen observers have been left with the unmistakable conclusion of the existence of a surreptitious but barely disguised intention to muzzle the elected governments of these states for what is clearly a display of unpardonable mediocrity and diabolic partisanship geared towards 2015.
“Borno and Yobe states have been literally under armies of occupation with the attendant excruciating hardship experienced daily by the indigenes and residents of these areas.

LIFE & STYLE: 11 Women Open Up About Their First Time Having Sex

Virginity is a tricky concept. As a culture we've explored it in our films, TV shows, books and classrooms, but we still don't have a clear-cut definition of what it entails or why it's important.
To get more answers to those questions, we asked our female readers to send us their virginity stories -- the good, the bad, the simply "meh." We received submissions from women in their teens through their 50s, within the country and abroad. And even though everyone had a story about their "first time," each of those stories is very different. The diversity of experiences shared with us further underscores the fact that a person's first time can mean a lot of different things. We might be better off if we stopped putting so much emphasis on it.
