BOKO HARAM: Top Politicians Arrested, Interrogated

Security agencies have commenced the interrogation of some prominent politicians whose identity cards were discovered in the destroyed terrorists’ camps in Balmo Forest, Bauchi State, the Federal Government has said. The government also accused the #BringBackOurGirls protesters of complementing terrorism with their activities.
“The politicians are being interrogated following the recovery of
some sensitive registration cards and other materials of a prominent political party that were found in the possession of some of the suspects arrested,” said the Coordinator of the National Information Centre, Mr. Mike Omeri, during the routine briefing on the abducted Chibok girls.
He said when investigations are concluded, the names of the culprits and the political party will be revealed.
On the activities of the #BringBackOurGirls protesters, spokesperson of the Department of State Security (DSS) Marilyn Ogar said the campaign has become a franchise with different divisions.
“I remember when we started the fight against insurgents, we said it severally that the group is more or less a franchise anybody can raise anywhere.
“As a tenant if you don’t have money to pay, you may become a sect, Boko Haram or you could also become a franchise and security forces know exactly what they are up to,” she said.
Ogar said: “We know that they have bank accounts and also know that they want to go to Asokoro extension and simulate some false movement where they will have foreign media and say they are marching into Sambisa forest and Chibok.”
Commenting on the protesters, Omeri accused them of supplementing and complementing terrorism making it difficult for government to know which group to face.
